Course Description

What you Will Learn:

This module is one of the most exciting in our repertoire! You will be introduced to groundbreaking biotechnology made possible by Kimera, a leader in scientific research. Kimera is a key innovator in stem cell research and has improved methods to isolate and identify mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) products called exosomes. They have several products on the market useful for regenerative medicine, and this module will teach you the specifics.

The focus of regenerative medicine is to promote tissue regeneration and healing, so the placenta is the ideal place to retrieve MSCs. Its primary function is to support the growth of the fetus, bolster its immune system, and protect it from malignancy or degeneration. MSCs from a certain part of the placenta secrete exosomes containing factors that promote tissue regeneration and prevent degeneration.

So, what are exosomes, and why are they important in all of this? All cells continually secrete exosomes, which are vesicles filled with proteins, growth factors, genetic material, or other biomolecules. Exosomes are either involved in cell signaling or they transfer their contents to nearby cells. Exosomes from placental MSCs are more likely to contain biomolecules that promote growth and regeneration and prevent degeneration. This lesson will tell you how Kimera has been able to identify which exosomes carry these qualities and how this relates to your practice!

This lesson provides extensive information on this subject, as well as how exosomes can revolutionize diagnostics and many other areas of human health. We also inform you about currently available products from Kimera and how they can be used in your practice.
